Clinic Address is: 64 Bridge Street, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3BN Please note we are based on the lower ground floor of Optimised Personal Wellness. There is only stair access unfortunately. You will see large glass doors at 64 Bridge Street, press the buzzer for ‘Optimised’ and we will let you in, then come down one flight of stairs where we will meet you. There is no parking on site so please allow plenty of time to travel or find parking nearby. Car parks in the area include Bridge Street, M3 5AH and King Street West, M3 2PW.

Is Dr Diane Qualified to Perform Aesthetics Treatments?Dr Diane is a fully qualified NHS and private GP who has been practicing medicine for 7 years. She has led aesthetic clinics in Harvey Nichols and worked closely with Reviv UK providing IV therapies and vitamin injections before opening her own clinic based in Spinningfields, Manchester. Dr Diane has 6 year’s experience in cosmetic medicine and is fully qualified and insured to provide a vast range of advanced non-surgical cosmetic treatments by the Medical Protection Society.

Why Do You Seem More Expensive Than Other Practitioners?When you see the price of aesthetics treatments you may notice a range of prices between practitioners. You are paying for your practitioner’s skills, experience, holistic care and indemnity. Dr Diane is highly trained and has completed extensive training programs both in her medical and aesthetic careers. More than this, we use premium, highly tested products to ensure your safety and the best results. Other clinics offering significantly cheaper treatments may not be using products of this quality which can be purchased at a much cheaper price. We suggest researching your practitioner fully before deciding to go ahead with cosmetic treatments.

Are There Any Conditions That Would Prevent Me From Having Cosmetic Treatments?There are some medical conditions that would be a contraindication to cosmetic procedures. Dermal Filler/Skin Booster Contraindications: -Previous dermal filler allergy or sensitivity -Previous hyaluronidase allergy or sensitivity -Bee/wasp sting allergy or sensitivity -Lidocaine allergy or sensitivity -Bleeding disorders -Currently pregnant or breastfeeding -Active infection/cold sore at sites planned for injection Caution in those with autoimmune conditions which are at increased risk of reacting to dermal fillers and may be on immunosuppression increasing the risk of infection. Anti-Wrinkle Injection/Hyperhidrosis Contraindications: -Previous botulinum toxin allergy or sensitivity -Neuromuscular disorders eg myasthenia gravis, motor neurone disease -Bleeding disorders -Currently pregnant or breastfeeding Caution in those with autoimmune conditions which are at increased risk of reacting to dermal fillers and may be on immunosuppression increasing the risk of infection.

If you are not satisfied with your treatment results, please contact us. We are more than happy to review you and discuss your concerns. If there has been an adverse outcome to treatment we will do our best to improve this and rectify the situation. What are Dermal Fillers?Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid of different densities which are injected into the skin to help replace volume, improve skin hydration and reduce signs of aging. Hyaluronic Acid is a compound found naturally in our bodies which has many functions but particularly aids hydration in the skin and is a key player is signs of aging. It works by attracting molecules of water up to 1000 times its own weight resulting in hydrated, plump and more youthful looking skin.

How Long Do Dermal Fillers Last?Longevity of your filler varies vastly between patients, however a general rule is between 6 to 18 months depending on filler used and area treated. Please note this is not a guarantee. Areas that are more mobile, for example the lips, will break down filler more quickly. Those less mobile like the nose may last longer up to 18 months. Other factors which may reduce how long your fillers last include active exercise regimes, increased sun exposure, heat therapies like sauna/steam, smoking, your metabolism and past medical history.

What Aftercare Advice Do You Give After Dermal Filler?With dermal fillers you can usually return to your normal activities immediately after your appointment. As mentioned you may have some pain, swelling and bruising, these can be reduced by applying cold compressed to the area and taking simple pain relief. We do not advise massaging the treated area as the product will still be soft for at least 24 hours. Our general aftercare advice includes: Avoid touching the skin and applying make up for at least 4 hours to reduce the risk of infection Avoid vigorous exercise for 24 hours after Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before and after treatments as this can increase risk of bleeding and bruising Remain upright for 4 hours and sleep on your back where possible to avoid moving the product You may wash your face lightly in the evening after treatment and apply your skincare , however be aware actives like retinol and vit C can irritate your skin so you wish may to avoid Finally always feel comfortable to contact Dr Diane if you have any worries after your treatment and arrange a complimentary review appointment

What Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?May people with know this as b*tox however this is the name of a prescription drug and so cannot be advertised under this name to the public.

How Long Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections Last?Longevity of your toxin varies greatly between patients, however a general rule is 3-6 months depending on the area treated. Please note this is not a guarantee. Factors which may affect how long your treatment lasts includes active exercise regimes, increased sun exposure, heat therapies like sauna/steam, smoking, your metabolism and past medical history. toxin is injected into muscles to relax them and reduce their ability to wrinkle the skin. Used in the forehead and frown, for example, we can reduce lines on movement and prevent them becoming a permanent feature. Results are not immediate and take around 2 weeks to see the full effect with a free top up appointment offered at 2 weeks if more toxin is needed.

Are There Any Side Effects To Anti-Wrinkle Injections?As with any medical treatment there is a possibility of side effects, although most of these are very rare. As a needle is used you may experience bruising, bleeding, pain and swelling in the area treated. At times you may not be happy with the outcome of your treatment due to the more movement than you would like, asymmetry or heaviness in the muscle and in this case always contact us for a review. Other more serious side effects may occur, but as doctors we are highly trained to recognise these and act quickly. These include infection and allergic reaction. They will always be discussed at length in your appointments and Dr Diane is always available to support you if you are concerned after your procedure. We understand this all sounds scary but please note these are rare. We work in a safe, clean environment with access to all emergency medicines. To reduce risks of infection we use an aseptic non-touch technique used in hospitals and double sterilise the skin prior to your treatment.
